Grateful For You : Chalk Style

I recently received my blog candy from Barbara Schram, and decided to break it out and try some of the wonderful goods she was so kind to give away! Inside the box was the most gorgeous card she made (I will check with her to see if I can post it), some stamps, cuttlebug folders and some chalks. I have never used chalks before and with a quick search on SCS I found a fun way to use them.
You first start by stamping your image on dark paper with white craft ink. Then apply the chalk with the applicators. Because the ink takes to the chalk so well, you really don't need a top spray to keep it from smearing (the actual word escapes me now) but YKWIM right?
So here is my final image using the All Night Media Autumn Blending Chalks. I have a bit of a chalk halo because I had a tough time getting the residue off, but I don't really mind it.
And here is my final card using PTI's First Fruits Patterned Paper and Stamp Set.
This baby was front heavy since my card base was with 80lb. paper and not my favorite PTI 110lb. paper, and since I also lined the inside front so you couldn't see the ribbon.  I added some paper to the back to even out the balance.

Deets:
Stamps: PTI First Fruits
Ink: SU! White Craft and Chocolate Chip
Paper: SU! Ridinghood Red, Close to Cocoa, PTI Dark Chocolate and First Fruits PP
Accessories: All Night Media Blending Chalks Autum, Small Olive Brad, Chocolate Ribbon ,
